Home packages

Priced up front. Sized on site.

About and journal

Who we are, and what we have written.

Business and land

Sized against a load, not a bedroom count.

A single-storey house at dusk with one window lit, the street dark around it.

Virtual power plant

Your battery joins the fleet.

HighFlow Energy runs the plant. Your battery joins it, helps the grid when it has spare capacity, and a bill-free allowance lands on your bill every month. One sign up with New Ability Energy starts it.

Bill-free allowance, up to 1,000 kWh $380 to $420 a month worked at 38 to 42 cents a kWh

Join the plant

Sign up in one page on our parent company's website, and a copy lands in your inbox the moment you submit. Your home always comes first: at least 20% of the battery is held for you, and your electricity account stays in your name.

Held for you 20% of the battery, at all times
Daily supply charge $0 on the plan, per HighFlow Energy

The plant

How it works, in three points.

A virtual power plant is a fleet of home batteries run as one. Yours joins it, your household keeps priority, and the allowance arrives on the bill.

  1. 01

    HighFlow Energy runs the plant

Your battery joins HighFlow Energy's fleet and is operated remotely, including sending power to the grid when the grid needs it. You do nothing day to day.

  2. 02

    Your home comes first

At least 20% of the battery is held for your own use at all times. Your electricity account and bill stay in your name, and the allowance shows on every bill.

  3. 03

    Leave when you like

Ten business days to change your mind after signing, then 30 days' written notice from either side. No exit fee.

Signing up

One page, two ticks, your name.

The sign up lives on our parent company's website, because New Ability Energy holds the installer contract and the warranty for every Solar Up system. It takes one page. Have a recent bill to hand: the meter number (NMI) on it is required.

  1. 01

    Read what you are joining

The full agreement sits in a box that scrolls, with your details filling into it as you type. Nothing is folded away.

  2. 02

    Tick two boxes

One accepts the agreement. One confirms you know you can leave on 30 days' notice.

  3. 03

    Type your name

That is the signature. Your copy is emailed straight away, and HighFlow Energy's sign up opens next.

Every term, one by one

After you sign

HighFlow Energy, then the fleet.

Two short steps, then nothing to do.

  1. 01

    Complete HighFlow Energy's sign up

HighFlow Energy is the electricity retailer for the plant. Their page for New Ability Energy customers opens as soon as you have signed.

  2. 02

    The battery joins the fleet

Enrolment into the plant can take up to four weeks. Nothing changes at the house and there is nothing to install.

  3. 03

The allowance lands on the bill

Each bill shows the allowance, what you used, what was bill-free, and any excess at the rate on your price schedule.
